Depending on how elaborate the project is, most installations are done in one day with minimal mess. All cutting is either done outside, in the garage, driveway or patio. Rule of thumb for choosing crown mouldings:
4″ or 5″ Profiles are suitable for 8 foot high ceilings.
6″ or 7″ Profiles are suitable for 9 foot high ceilings.
8″ Profiles are suitable for 10 foot high ceilings.
